We can’t forget our grandmothers on Mother’s Day. I am blessed to have my grandmother and blessed that my daughter is getting to interact with my grandmother her great grandmother (“Little Oma”) and when I came across this I thought it was perfect…and so true. Little Oma is never in a rush for anything. She eats slow and enjoys every bite. She walks slow and enjoys every sight. We had our antique stroller out last week and barely covered a block in a half hour’s time. lol. If you go to the store with grandma, be prepared to be gone for a few hours. Grandma doesn’t have more important things to get to. When she’s doing something, that’s the most important thing and it takes as long as it takes. And for all the magical newness of the world for babies to discover, Grandma will be there to stop and take time to let you enjoy every bit of it…for as long as it takes.
